Avril Lavigne is engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, People.com is reporting.
The pair, who have been quietly dating for six months, got together while working on Lavigne's latest album. The twosome became engaged on Aug. 8, when Kroeger, 37, presented the 27-year-old singer with a 14-carat diamond ring.
Lavigne, whose marriage to Sum 41 frontman, Deryck Whibley, ended in 2009, was recently rumored to be dating Marilyn Manson, (but quickly quashed those stories) and also dated Kardashian step-brother Brody Jenner. After being a very public couple for nearly two years, and getting some tattoos to pledge their love to one another, they split in early 2012, not long before Lavigne and Kroeger started working together.
The newly engaged pair have managed to keep their relationship seemingly under the radar; although, back in May, Lavigne and Kroeger were snapped getting cozy during a dinner date in Paris.
This will be the first marriage for Kroeger.
