Metallica + Paul McCartney = ¿¿ BEATALLICA ??
According to Sky News, METALLICA will jam live with French first lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy and Paul McCartney on "LaterÂ… with Jools Holland" on BBC television when it starts a new series on September 16.
The late-night show traditionally starts with piano-playing Holland and his guests jamming together.
METALLICA will make its first appearance on the show in 12 years, while McCartney will team up with record producer and bassist Martin "Youth" Glover under the name THE FIREMAN.
Bruni will perform "a song or two from her recently released third album", the BBC said in a statement.
