The show, which takes place at Brooklyn's Knitting Factory on December 11, is a benefit for the making of Sini Anderson's documentary about Hanna, titled The Kathleen Hanna Projec a.k.a. Who Told You Christmas Wasn't Cool?. The lineup features Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, MEN (featuring Hanna's Le Tigre bandmate JD Samson), Hilly Eye (featuring Titus Andronicus' Amy Klein), Kaia Wilson, Tami Hart, a video performance from Charlift's Caroline Polachek, and more. Not to mention She Murders, a band that includes Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon's daughter Coco Gordon Moore. The performers will all cover Hanna's songs, so expect gigantic singalongs.
Anderson will film the show and tape interviews with the artists performing. Hanna may add some of her friends to the lineup as the show approaches. Maybe somebody can coax her onstage.
