According to the web site of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, former ALICE IN CHAINS bassist Mike Starr was arrested early Thursday (February 17) in Salt Lake City, Utah and booked on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance. It's presently unclear what drug — or drugs — the 44-year-old musician allegedly had at the time of his arrest. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.

Starr was featured as a cast member of the third season of the VH1 reality series "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew". Hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, the season consisted of eight episodes that followed the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center.
