[i:22gr0zi7]Newcomer Alisa Apps lays down challenge[/i:22gr0zi7]
Lady GaGa has been challenged to a singing contest by US newcomer Alisa Apps.
Apps, who is yet to release an album but has proved a hit online (scroll down and watch her in action below), questioned the singer's abilities in the US media, laying down a sing-off which would see the winner would take home a $1 million (£630,000) prize.
She said that such a contest could take place at Madison Square Garden in New York or London's O2 Arena, reports Billboard.com.
"I feel sorry for Lady GaGa, she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," she said in a statement sent out by her marketing/publicity team. "This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer – plastic or real."
Apps didn't explain where the prize money would come from. Lady GaGa has yet to respond.[/quote:22gr0zi7]
