In an extremely exciting piece of news, The Verve have officially revealed that they have reformed and are recording new material together.
It seems that Nick McCabe and Richard Ashcroft have finally buried the hatchet, after hitting the studio with other band members Pete Salisbury and Simon Jones last week.
The Wigan outfit will be hitting the studio after a summer break to complete work on their comeback album. Better still, theyÂ’ve also announced six UK tour dates for the autumn.
Tickets for the UK dates, which takes in Glasgow, Blackpool and London, go on sale from 9am on Friday, July 6.
The Verve officially parted ways in April 1999, with McCabe acrimoniously leaving the Wigan outfit a year earlier.
Hilariously, since the split Ashcroft said that it was more likely that all four of The Beatles would be getting back together than them reforming.
They play the following dates:
Glasgow Academy – November 2/3
Blackpool Empress Ballroom – 5/6
London Roundhouse – 8/9
