Eddie Vedder participará en un concierto acústico con Red Hot Chili Peppers:
One of the top concerts in L.A. over the past few years has been Flea's annual Hullabaloo show, a benefit for his SIlver Lake Conservatory of Music -- a non-profit school that teaches music at reasonable costs. But for the first time since its inception in 2001, the bassist and his Red Hot Chili Pepper mates will headline. The event will be held May 5 at L.A.'s Henry Fonda Theater.
Joining the Chilis will be Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder with an acoustic performance, as well as jazz great Charlie Haden and the L.A. alt-bluegrass duo the Ditty Bops.
"I am a happy Flea," the bassist tells Spinner. "The support that my friends have given to our school is infinitely heartwarming to me. It is like the end of 'It's a Wonderful Life' each year this event happens, and that feeling goes on for hours."
As for the talent assembled for the night, he goes on, "And to get to perform with musicians whom I truly respect is a great feeling. Charlie Haden is such an important musician and this is the second time he has come to play for the school. I have been listening to that guy since i was a kid and Eddie Vedder is one of the great rock voices ever. I am so grateful to them as well as my bandmates Anthony, John, and Chad for pitching in to help the school, not to mention the jams that Mickey Avalon will be layin' down on the rooftop under the Hollywood sky."
