Springtime is for lovers, and love is in the air for alt-rock stars. The Detroit News reports that White Stripes drummer Meg White will marry [b:1g0k4y6v]Jackson Smith[/b:1g0k4y6v], son of punk legend Patti Smith and the late MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith. (Via Spinner.) They'll tie the knot May 22 in Nashville, according to The Detroit News. (An email to a representative of the White Stripes asking for confirmation has not yet been returned.)
Meanwhile, Trent Reznor will take some time away from fighting with Apple, touring with Jane's Addiction, and updating his consistently hilarious Twitter to get married, MTV reports. The Nine Inch Nails maestro will wed [b:1g0k4y6v]Mariqueen Maandig[/b:1g0k4y6v] of the band West Indian Girl, as announced on the West Indian Girl website over the weekend. "Talk about analog and digital love - their kids might all have moogs for arms," the update said.

TRENT REZNOR Gets Hitched - Oct. 20, 2009
According to Spinner.com, NINE INCH NAILS mainman Trent Reznor married his fiancée, former WEST INDIAN GIRL singer Mariqueen Maandig, in a ceremony held this past Saturday, October 17.
Reznor's NIN bandmate Danny Lohner broke the news cryptically to fans via Twitter over the weekend, writing "Goths the world over will mourn this day — off to a wedding." Lohner also tweeted a picture of Reznor and Maandig dancing together with the caption "Congrats!"
The couple reportedly hired photographer Robert Evans, the man who lensed the nuptials of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, although a formal statement from Reznor has yet to surface.
Maandig and Reznor kept their relationship under wraps until April, when they were engaged. Maandig quit her band in August, with Reznor retiring his NINE INCH NAILS outfit in September.
