John Moyer ha fichado por Adrenaline Mob donde se encontrará a Mike Portnoy
[quote:1jp93kun]“(New York, NY – February 08, 2012) – 2012 is shaping up to be some year for Adrenaline Mob. The band, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Russell Allen, the shredding guitar attack of Mike Orlando and the drumming virtuosity of Mike Portnoy, just found the missing piece their lineup needed.
John Moyer, half of the rhythmic backbone of multi platinum rock juggernauts Disturbed, is stepping in to fill the recently vacated bass player spot. They all got together and after one jam session, the band knew they had found the newest member of the family. John will be making his on-stage debut with Adrenaline Mob on March 12th when they play their record release event at Hiro Ballroom in New York City.
“Mike Portnoy called me about auditioning for his new band Adrenaline Mob. He had heard through the grapevine that I was looking to stay busy while Disturbed is on hiatus. After jamming with Russ, MO, and Portnoy, the chemistry as musicians was undeniable. I am super stoked about joining “The Family” and I can’t wait to hit the road with these guys and see what kind of musical mayhem we can create!”
Adrenaline Mob returns with their debut full length album, Omertá slated for release on March 13th. The newly formed Elm City Music in conjunction with EMI Label Services will release the follow up to last yearÂ’s self-titled EP. Elm City Music is the brainchild of music industry veteran Michael Caplan.
The album contains 11 crushing tracks including the already fan favorites “Psychosane,” ”Believe Me” and “Down To The Floor”. New tracks such as “Indifferent,” “All On The Line” and “Angel Sky” showcase the evolution of Adrenaline Mob in their sound and songwriting. Omertá also features a blistering reinterpretation of Duran DuranÂ’s classic “Come Undone” featuring guest vocals by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. The album was produced by Adrenaline Mob and mixed by Jay Ruston known for his work on AnthraxÂ’s Worship Music and Steel PantherÂ’s Balls Out.
The band also developed a reputation as an amazing live band. Adrenaline Mob set out on their first-ever tour during August and September of 2011 after being handpicked by Godsmack to be their opening act. The tour consisted of select headline dates interspersed with Godsmack shows. Adrenaline Mob will be heading out on tour in the Spring to continue the trend in support of Omertá. The band has been added to Graspop Festival and Gods of Metal Festival playing alongside the likes of Guns N Roses and Black Sabbath to name a few.
Adrenaline Mob formed in 2011 when Orlando, who had been working on a collection of songs, approached Allen with a concept and idea for the band. Together they joined forces and refined those ideas. Allen then reached out to long-time friend Portnoy to see if he had any interest in playing with them. Portnoy jumped on-board and from the very first note, the chemistry and sound was apparent and the beast that is known as Adrenaline Mob was born.”[/quote:1jp93kun]
