Lo entran a grabar este verano, ¿y sabéis qué? Será el mejor de su carrera!
"With release date for the fall, the seventh studio album completed Deftones preproduction and ended on Wednesday 9 July and will enter the studio to record "I know everyone says , but I think is the best album we've recorded, "says Moreno," I am very excited about because it sounds futuristic compared to our last album, Diamond Eyes (2010) - so it feels like a step forward. "
While Moreno feels that the sound of that material has a lot of experimentation and is different from what they have done, the musician believes that within the Deftones discography, this work could be more like White Pony, the record of 2000 with which got good reviews and sales, plus a Grammy for Best Metal presentation by the Elite theme: "The songs are very different, not heavy or slower but dynamic and goes into many directions, is so heavy and so beautiful "says the singer explains that Sergio Vega, replacing bassist Chi Cheng, bassist in 2008 had a car accident that left him in a coma, has been a contribution "has been working very well," he says."
Estrenaron dos temas en directo nuevos en el Trobadour de Hollywood. Por cierto, el cantante de Dillinger Escape Plan estaba entre el público y dice que flipó con el concierto

"It's not a super fast or slow record. It's very dynamic. Some of my favorite things about Deftones are the dynamics. Yes, we're a heavy band, but we're not just in-your-face aggro the whole time, punching you in the face. There's a lot of aggression in some of the music, but there's also this very soothing element where there's a lot of soundscapes rather than attack, attack, attack the whole time.
I understand that's a big part of our sound, but I really feel like we reached a peak on our dynamics on this record with those two qualities, the beauty of something and just straight, ruthless aggression."
