Gastroenteritis decían que era y mira...

When Depeche Mode lead singer Dave Gahan was rushed to the hospital due to "a severe bout of gastroenteritis" before the band's May 12 gig in Athens, Greece, it was a bummer. Then more dates were cancelled. And then even more dates were nixed. Turns out Gahan was dealing with more than a wicked stomach flu-- according to a press release, "while in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumor in Dave's bladder, which has since been successfully removed." Serious stuff

But Gahan is tough, so the group's Tour of the Universe will resume June 8 in Leipzig, Germany, and still run through the end of the year.

Meanwhile, many of the cancelled gigs from May 12-June 6 are currently in the process of being rescheduled. A few already have new dates, and some are crossed out indefinitely.
