Se les ha ido el bajista, y de temporalmente han pillado al guitarra de Daath para substituirlo
[quote:3gyj3cb0]"After a decade of good times and achievements, our friend and band mate Jim LaMarca has decided to retire from CHIMAIRA. We wish him nothing but the best as he settles in and starts a family. As for seeking a replacementÂ… we'll cross that bridge down the line. In the meantime, consider it 'business as usual' with the CHIMAIRA you know and love.
Emil Werstler [DAATH guitarist] will be handling the bass duties for the rest of the year, and we'll see you on the road!"[/quote:3gyj3cb0]
Pes ha decicido montar un grupo de rap metal, se ve que no tiene asesor de imagen y ha vivido retirado del mundo los últimos 10 años
[quote:14mopo28]Now former Chimaira bassist Jim LaMarca is putting together a new project influenced by hip hop, rap and metal with rapper Johnny Givens at the helm. Unspecified musicians are being sought to solidify the project with more info available on http://cleveland.craigslist.org/muc/2069476880.html[/quote:14mopo28]
Y ahora se le va el teclista... Que está pasando??
[quote:10d7vgv1]"The choice was extremely tough and stewed around in my mind for quite awhile. Many things led to this decision. The situation in CHIMAIRA had ultimately become a negative environment that I had to get out of. Secondly, the music industry is completely fucked and honestly, I became concerned for my future. The amount of work and stress I took on got the best of me. I guess if you're not happy or having fun, what's the point?
As far as the new CHIMAIRA album, I have not contributed to it. There is no doubt in my mind that CHIMAIRA's sound will not suffer minus my presence. The demos I heard showed great potential and IÂ’m sure the album will melt faces. I'm proud to say I was on five CHIMAIRA albums and wish those guys the best."

[quote:22jjj1lw]“all hail spicuzza good to see the love you guys express for him. the feelings are mutual.
as we know this news sucksÂ… hopefully this cheers you up a little
there are definitely samples, keys, electronics, and all sorts of other wizardry on this record. weÂ’ve spent the past 12 years creating the atmospheric side of chimaira, and we canÂ’t imagine listening to us without those cool bits either. each album brought new noises and a vibe to accompany that particular record. nothing has changed in that regard. this has always been an evolution. while it may seem like the end of days, we see this as another chapter. chimaira developed our sound together with chris, and although he is gone, his spirit, class, and the foundation he helped lay, will always remain.
you know us. we donÂ’t drive our cars looking through the rearview mirror. never have, never will. keep the glasses half full, amigos. it makes for a much more interesting rideÂ….and weÂ’re just getting started.
btwÂ…yes, rob is still in chimaira.
six feet under is a side project. maynard james keenan sings for 3 bands. rob plays guitar for 3.
itÂ’s all gravy.
thanks for your continuous support”[/quote:22jjj1lw]
El batería, Andols Herrick, también se va. Siguienteeeee

"Since [keyboardist/programmer] Chris [Spicuzza] released his statement recently [announcing his departure from the band], I suppose it's time that I do so as well since I have been dodging questions and comments for almost as long.
I am no longer a member of CHIMAIRA, and actually haven't been since before Christmas. I did play at CHIMAIRA Christmas 11, which was my last show. I certainly couldn't have asked for a better and more memorable way to go out.
I cannot stress enough how significantly different the circumstances are now than back in 2004 [when Andols last left CHIMAIRA. — Ed.]. The short story is that the guys had taken issue with certain aspects of my role in the band. Nothing discussed was out of anger or anything personal, but I was definitely not expecting it and it was quite the spirit crusher for me. The decision was made that it would be in the band's best interest to move forward without me. I was obviously devastated, but again there was no ill will between us. Later I was asked to rejoin, but after some painful contemplation in my mind, I decided it was best not to. I started to see everything that happened as something that was ultimately positive.
I share some of the same concerns that Chris mentioned in his statement, namely the current state of the music industry and concerns about my future.
A major transition in life is much more manageable at 31 than it is in your late 30s or early 40s, so as a guy with literally zero experience in anything else, better now than later. Plus, it would be hard to go back without feeling constantly uneasy about the situation.
So where does that leave me musically? Well, I damn sure am not done as a drummer! I will be releasing an instructional book/DVD through Hal Leonard later this year. I teach private drum lessons in New Jersey. I'm also really trying to get busy with session recording work, so if you're a guitarist or a band that needs drum tracks, I can be contacted at [email protected].
I've had a couple opportunities to track drums for two great bands, and I hope to be a part of a lot more.
Although I did not record the new [CHIMAIRA] album, I was around for the majority of the writing process, and I know you guys are going to love it.
Despite the recent dramatic lineup changes, I'm quite confident the band will press on just fine. I will always love my brothers, both current and former, in CHIMAIRA!"[/quote:3p88m2e4]

ESTO YA SI QUE NO!! JODER!
