At a show this weekend in Spain, though, Glass was the cause of some onstage carnage, according to NME. (Apparently, Spanish festivals are where North American bands go to lose their shit these days.) Early Sunday morning, the group were playing a set at Barcelona's Sónar Festival. When sound problems got to be too much for Alice Glass, she started violently pulling apart her band's drumkit and throwing it at security guards. Then, when security attempted to restrain her, someone-- either Glass or bandmate Ethan Kath-- threw a punch at a guard.

On her Twitter, fellow Sonar artist Little Boots attempted to describe what was going on, but it doesn't look like she caught everything either. Here's her description of the fracas, via three Tweets: "Woah just watched crystal castles at sonar, sound was awful throughout kept cutting out so at te end alice started trashing the stage..." "then the sound guy tried to rugby tackle her so ethan jumped out and punched him! Massive!" "Ok just spoke to alice apparently it was her who socked him one ha ha."

This video, via Toronto's National Post, captured the events, though it's still hard to tell what's going on thanks to that ever-present strobe light. Also, the punch seems to happen right after the video cuts out, though Kath certainly looks ready to throw down. Glass sure does ball herself up on the floor for a long time!
